Seven things that make a meeting room work for hybrid calls

The remote seat is the hard one

A room passes or fails on the experience of the person who is not in it. Everything below is judged from that seat.

The checklist

A camera wide enough to see the whole table. A microphone that reaches the far end of it. A display the in-room people can see without turning away from the camera. Acoustic treatment on at least two surfaces. Lighting in front of faces rather than behind them. A whiteboard the camera can actually read. And a way to join the call that does not require a cable.

Book ten minutes early

Every hybrid meeting loses time at the start. Booking the room from ten minutes before the meeting is the cheapest fix available.
